Abigail's Party

1980 - 1989

Abigail's Party was a group of friends who formed a band in Alford Lincolnshire. Initially influenced by the burgeoning synth pop scene - Human League, OMD, Depeche Mode, they later became a duo (Jonathan and Andrew) and took up guitars - having become influenced by Joy Division, Bauhaus and Cocteau Twins.

When Jonathan moved to London the partnership continued until it could no longer be sustained.

At this point Jonathan continued Abigail's Party until the late 1980s.
